Release Notes

After two betas I'm proud to release the final version of yaTDL 1.0.
For the final version I added the possibility to install the version via ClickOnce.
Of course you can download a zipped version, too.
Please remove any earlier versions of yaTDL before you install this build.
Although it is the final version of yaTDL, there might still be bugs I'm not aware of, so if you should find you can use the Issue Tracker here on Codeplex or this form to report them.

Changes sine Beta 2

  • Fixed text-alignment in the Task textbox. It is now "Left" and no longer "Center", because Center used to be displayed wrong.
  • Fixed and improved the resize-behaviour of the task-list.
  • The size of the main-window will now also be saved corretly when the window is minimized when it is closed
  • If a file that did not exist was choosen to be imported in the Import/Export wizard, the wizard crashed. The filename will now be verified before you can continue the wizard
  • The Import/Export wizard will now verify that a directory exists before you can export a file to a folder.
  • Fixed a typo in the "About"-page
  • The application crashed if you entered a value for the number of backups that will be saved that could not be converted to a number in the Settings page
  • MessageBoxes will now also be shown during startup. In earlier versions, the were only shown for a short time and then immediatelly disappeard.
  • The application used to crash when a Task's content contained a vertical line ("|"). This has been fixed now and should no longer be a problem. Though you need to know that every vertical line will not be saved, becaus eit would interfere with the way the data is stored in the file. The vertical line will be gone after you have restarted the application.
  • The application won't crash any more if the TaskStore.txt-file does not contain information about the version of yaTDL that created the file or if the file is empty.
  • Improved the handling of files that do not contain information about their version or were creatd by a newer version of yaTDL
    • If it is the default file (TaskStore.txt) the application will offer to back up the file before opening it
    • If it is not the default file, the user will be informed that some data might not be read correctly and is asked if he wants to continue or not.
